This type of pool is made from fibreglass-reinforced plastic, which has been moulded into whatever pool shape you desire. The first step in making a fibreglass pool is by digging a hole to the shape of your desired pool design. Then, the plumbing is constructed and a sand filler is added before lowering the fibreglass pool structure into the hole. Afterwards, the plumbing is connected to the structure before it is tightly filled in to cover the hole. The surrounding structure is then covered up with concrete to make sure that everything is secure and in place.

A drawback to this type of pool is that it can be very expensive and the design and size can be a bit limited. However, the great thing about fibreglass pools is that it is not prone to leaking, unlike those pools that have a concrete base, as the fibreglass material has no pores where water can get through.
